The first annual meeting of the Grand River Unit of the National Association of Parliamentarians was held on Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at 7:00 PM in room 1058 of the Mathematics and Computer building at the University of Waterloo, the president being in the chair and Mary Van Dyk acting as secretary pro tem. The minutes of the last meeting were approved.
The president delivered his report, and delivered a report on behalf of the secretary/treasurer.
The unit welcomed Bill Allan as a new member.
Dan Lynch was elected delegate to the biennial convention of the National Association of Parliamentarians. Jason Gorrie was elected alternate.
Notice having been given, Dan Lynch moved "That the bylaw provisos adopted February 7, 2007 be amended by striking out the word 'Feburary' and inserting the word 'February'." The motion was adopted.
An educational program followed the business meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 9:20 p.m.
